At the Palio Città della Quercia meet in Rovereto (Italy), Commonwealth Games Champion Akani Simbine clocked a time of 10.17s (+0.5m/s) to win the men’s 100m, edging out Italian Larmont Marcell Jacobs who finished 2nd in 10.21s. Eseosa Desalu was 3rd in 10.33s.

Kenya’s Ferguson Rotich took the men’s 800m in a quick 1:44.82 ahead of his countryman Collins Kipruto who ran a Season’s Best (SB) of 1:45.26 as Catain Tecuceanu claimed 3rd in a Personal Best (PB) of 1:46.41.

Meanwhile, Hedda Hynne ran a big PB of 1:59.15 in the women’s event, over a second ahead of 2nd-placed Swiss Lore Hoffmann who clocked 2:00.51 and Nadia Power in a 2:01.01 (PB).

Freddie Crittenden III prevailed over Andrew Pozzi in the men’s 110m Hurdles, holding off the latter as they both returned 13.31s (+0.6). Aaron Mallet finished 3rd in an SB of 13.39s while Lorenzo Perini got 4th in 13.61s.

The women’s 100m Hurdles was taken by Luminosa Bogliolo in a time of 12.90s (+1.1) from Taliyah Brooks who ran 13.09s. Wilfried Happio also won the men’s 400m Hurdles in 49.28s from Rasmus Magi who ran 49.79s.
