Competing in the men’s High Jump at the Tom Jones Memorial Classic, Best Erhire soared to a new outdoor Personal Best (PB) to claim the win on Friday night in Gainesville, Florida.

Erhire made a leap of 2.21m on first try to win on countback, with Riyon Rankin settling for 2nd place despite clearing the same height. Bradford Jennings took 3rd with 2.13m.

The 2019 National Champion, who matched his 2.23m Personal Best earlier in February, will hope to better his performance in subsequent meets for a shot at securing the qualification standard for the Paris 2024 Olympics which is set at 2.33m.
