At a local meet in Pierre-Benite (France), World Bronze medallist, Hugues Fabrice-Zango reached a substantial 17.11m (+0.4m/s) to take the win in the men’s Triple Jump in rainy conditions, while also running off a short approach.
He finished ahead of Jean-Marc Pontvianne who leapt 16.52m (+0.3).
Also, in the Long Jump, U-20 Jules Pommery landed a Personal Best (PB) of 7.93m (+0.8), beating Fabrice-Zango who also got a PB of 7.71m (+0.7) in what played out as his first Long Jump competition in two years.
Renaud Lavillenie topped the men’s Pole Vault with a mark of 5.71m ahead of Jules Cypress who cleared 5.51m.
The women’s event was taken by Marion Lotout at 4.52m ahead of Margot Chevrier who got over 4.42m.
