David Rudisha will be unable to defend his 800m title after announcing his withdrawal from the World Championships in London following a muscle injury.
The World Record holder becomes the latest elite athlete to pull out from the biennal competition because of an injury, joining the likes of Thiago Braz (Pole Vault) and Greg Rutherford (Long jump).
