African Indoor record holder Favour Ofili blazed to her second fastest season opener and fastest time (outdoors) in two years at the Tom Jones Memorial Classic on Friday (April 13th), taking charge of her heat to win in a scorching 22.33s, which automatically qualifies her for the Paris 2024 Olympics! The time also doubled as the fastest time overall in the competition.

Ofili continues to display brilliant form this season, having raced to her fastest time under all conditions, a stunning 10.85s (+2.6m/s) at the Battle of the Bayou a fortnight ago.

Anavia Battle came 2nd with a time of 22.56s, while Ida Karstoft followed through in 3rd place with a National Record (NR) and PB of 22.60s.
