The Nigerian Bobsleigh duo of Perpetua Nwanna and Alawode Sekinat has won a Bronze medal in their debut competition in the sport after finishing in 3rd place in the women’s double Bobsleigh IBSFsliding Korea Cup held in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Earlier in the month, Nigeria’s new Bobsled and Skeleton team comprising six home grown athletes, travelled to Pyeongchang, South Korea for its first camping exercise.

The Bobsled quartet are Perpetual Nwanna, Sekinat Alaode, Hammed Yusuf and Dickson Ugochukwu, while Skeleton has Khadijat Folawiyo and Emmanuel Akinbo. They were joined by the Technical Director of the Bobsled and Skeleton Federation, Dr. Seun Adigun, and coaches Friday Ibrahim and Emem Ikhaobomeh in the camp.
