Nigeria international attacker Paul Onuachu scored a brace for Belgian Club KRC Genk as they defeated KV Mechelen 3-1 in their Match Day 6 fixture in the Jupiler League.

The beam-pole like forward continued from where he left off last week as he got the equalizer for Genk in the 10th minute after they were pegged back by an early goal from Kerim Mrabti for Mechelen.

Junya Ito scored Genk’s second goal in the 55th minute before Onuachu completed his brace in the 68th minute. He has now scored four goals in the League this season.

His compatriot, Cyriel Dessers did not feature for Genk in the course of the match week six fixture.

By virtue of the win, Genk climbed to eight on the Belgian First Division A league table, having garnered eight points from six games, ten points behind league leaders, Sporting Charleroi.
