Super Eagles striker Sikiru Alimi was on target for his club Stade Tunisien as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to US Tataouine in their matchday 19 fixture in the Tunisian top-flight league.

The former Lobi Stars, Sunshine Stars and Warri Wolves attacker who joined the Tunisian club eight months ago, helped his team reduce the deficit in the 64th minute, but the strike was not enough to help his side avoid defeat.

The loss means Stade Tunisien remains seventh on the league table, and will be hoping to claw their way back into the CAF Champions League/ Confederations Cup places before the end of the season.

The tall center forward was in the Super Eagles team that failed to qualify for the African Nations Championship late last year despite scoring two goals against the Hawks of Togo.
