Odion Ighalo was in a class of his own, scoring a hat trick in the 4-0 over Libya in Uyo.

After pummeling the Libyan National team by 4-0 in Uyo on Saturday, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will now set their sights on doing a double over the North African nation in an African Cup of Nations qualifiers which is set to take place in Sfax on Tuesday, October 16.

Despite the domineering performance of the team, the coach of the team, Gernot Rohr is still not resting on his oars as he feels his team still lacks in defensive solidity. However, would be hoping his team still can consolidate their efforts in Tunisia by at least getting a draw.

Although the team has been hit with injuries, with the likes of Ogenyi Onazi and Shehu Abdullahi out, Rohr can still count on capable replacements like Ola Aina and John Ogu to be able to get the job done in the right back position and in the middle of the pack.

Also, the German coach is expected to field an unchanged line-up as hat-trick hero, Odion Ighalo is expected to lead the line for the team in Tunisia after his incredible performance in Uyo.

On the part of the Libyans, their interim coach, Omar Al-Maryami is still confident on his sides chances of getting revenge for the loss in Uyo, as he feels his sides were unlucky in the early proceedings of the tie.

Nigeria are currently placed second in the Group with six points after three matches, while the Libyans have four points from the same three games played. South Africa lead the group on seven points. Seychelles are at the bottom of the group.

Date, Time and Venue of the match:

  • October 16th, 2018
  • 7:00pm
  • Stade Taïeb Mhiri, Sfax, Tunis.
