The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) Golden League initially billed to hold from Friday to Saturday, January 26th to 27th in Port Harcourt, has now been moved by a day due to some technical hitches.

According to AFN Secretary Amaechi Akawo, the competition will now hold on Saturday and Sunday, January 27th to 28th at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt. Akawo said the move was necessary in order to finalize arrangements for the competition.

AFN Technical Director Sunday Adeleye apologized for the change in date, which is definitely bound to take a lot of stakeholders, especially athletes unawares.
