Atlanta was the scene of Making of Champions’ very first International Shoot in March 2013, where we went to meet Innocent Egbunike, Nigeria’s Head Coach from the London 2012 Olympics, and incidentally Nigeria’s 400m record holder since 1987! Our interview of Mr Egbunike was simply one of the most enlightening and inspiring moments we’ve had on this Making of Champions journey!
Despite only being in Atlanta for 2 nights for this shoot (on the way to Jamaica for CHAMPS!), it almost never happened because we had checked in both video cameras and British Airways had contrived to leave them in London! Luckily, they arrived on the following day, just before our shoot started, but not before we fortuitously met Akin who lives in Atlanta and is into filmmaking too! Not only did he help us with this shoot, he has come through for us multiple times since then, interviewing various other persons of interest in Atlanta!
