Athletes representing 136 secondary schools and 93 junior and senior teams are set to compete in the MTN CHAMPS Season 3 Grand Final, scheduled to take place from May 6 to 9 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

In total, 2,403 athletes registered for the event, but due to the maximum allowable numbers for each school, the number of accepted registrations eventually came down to 2,187, with 5,807 event entries. The registered participants include 464 Cadets, 777 Youths, 426 Juniors, and 520 Seniors.

All Registered Schools/Athletes must pick up their competition bibs to confirm their participation no later than Monday, May 5th, at the Competition venue to remain on their event startlists.

An Athletes’ screening will take place at bib collection on Monday, May 5th. All Cadet and Youth athletes must present themselves for screening as their bibs are being collected to remain on the startlists for their events. All athletes in the Cadet and Youth categories must bring a photocopy of valid identification that clearly shows their date of birth. Accepted documents include:

  • Birth Certificate
  • International Passport
  • Official School Records

In addition, a signed Parental Consent Form is mandatory for athletes in the Cadet, Youth, and Junior categories. This form must be signed by at least one parent or legal guardian and can be downloaded at http://mtnchamps.com. Athletes should bring the completed form with them for bib collection.
