The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will seek to maintain their perfect start at the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup when they face Brazil on Saturday night.

Nigeria, who arrived Buenos Aires on Thursday afternoon for the matchday three encounter, will square up to Brazil at the Unico Diego Maradona in La Plata for their final group game.

The seven-time African champions already booked a spot in the knockout phase following consecutive victories in their opening two games — a 2-1 win over Dominican Republic in their first game followed by a stunning 2-0 win against the Gil Azzurrini of Italy.

On the other hand, the South Americans, who had lost to Italy in their opening game, thrashed Dominican Republic 6-0 to keep their Round of 16 qualification hopes alive.

TEAM NEWS

AC Milan wunderkind Victor Eletu was stretchered off the pitch against Italy but reports claim he has fully recovered and he’s expected to be available for the Brazil encounter.

HEAD TO HEAD

Nigeria have played the Seleção U20 at five different occasions at the FIFA U20 World Cup stage in the past, recording only one draw and losing the other four.

Their most recent meeting was in an opening group game at the 2015 edition — a six-goal thriller which the Brazilians won 4-2.
