Tobi Amusan ran her first race over the 100m hurdles in 2023 at the Tom Jones Invitational, powering through to notch a 2nd place finish in 12.59s! Nia Ali managed to edge the race in 12.53s (1.4).

Amusan had started off, clocking 12.74s to win her heat ahead of Devyne Charlton who later came 3rd in the final with 12.64s.

Making another round on the track a few hours later, she powered to a new Personal Best (PB) of 11.10s (1.6) in the women’s 100m flat, making her the fastest African woman this season, both over 100m and 100m hurdles!
