Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has listed captain Ahmed Musa in his 24-man list ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers with the Benin Republic and Lesotho.

The captain, who has played 95 times for the Super Eagles, is the most controversial pick amongst the players as he is without a club since being released by Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia last October.

Rohr has handed a maiden call-up to Enyimba International goalkeeper, John Noble after his exploits for the two-time CAF Champions against Rivers United.

Also, Sadiq Umar is rewarded for his outstanding performance for Almeria in the second division in Spain as he gets a call-up to the senior side for the first time.

Nigeria, top of the Group E log with eight points (one ahead of Benin Republic and five more than third-placed Sierra Leone), tackle the Squirrels away at the Stade Charles de Gaulle in Porto Novo on Saturday, 27th March and will lock horns with the Crocodiles of Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos three days later. Both are the concluding games of the qualifying series.
