FC Nantes winger Moses Simon is a major doubt for the AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone after he suffered a groin injury in last weekend’s clash against champions PSG.

Simon was replaced by Kader Bamba after 25 minutes having to suffer what looked like a groin injury, as Nantes went on to lose 3-0 to the defending league champion.

Gernot Rohr will now have to call on the services of one of the players on the standby list, with Genk’s Paul Onuachu the most likely to get the nod after notching up nine goals in the the Belgian top-flight league this season.

Nigeria takes on the Leone Stars at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City on November 13 before heading to Freetown for the return leg on the 17th of the same month.
