Super Eagles attacker Simy Nwankwo scored his first goal for Crotone in the Italian Serie A this season in their 4-1 loss to Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium.

Nwankwo got the equalizer for the team in the 49th min when he slotted home the ball from the penalty spot after Domenico Berardi had put Roberto De Zerbi’s attacking outfit ahead.

The goal wasn’t enough to see them draw the game at the very least, as they conceded three more goals in the second half.

Simy emerged top scorer in Serie B last season with 20 goals in 37 appearances as he helped his team gain promotion after finishing second.
