Nigerian international forward Samuel Kalu scored a late goal for French Club Bordeaux but it wasn’t enough to stop them from falling to a 2-1 defeat to Lens on Saturday night.

The attacker who is playing his fourth consecutive game for his club in the league this season was brought on with 9 minutes to go, and he made the most of it as he scored his first goal of the season for Les Girondins.

However, his goal couldn’t salvage a point for them as they fell to their first defeat of the season in Ligue 1.

Cameroon International Ignatius Ganago had put Lens in front just immediately after the break, scoring his 3rd for the season, before Gael Kakuta’s penalty gave them a 2-0 lead.

Also, Nigerian forward, Josh Maja played a total of 9 mins in the game as he got booked while on the pitch.
