Former U-17 World Cup winner, Dele Alampasu was in between the sticks for Latvian club FK Ventspils as they defeated Moldovian side Dinamo Auto 2-1 in the first round of the Europa League qualifiers.

The former CD Feirense shot-stopper, who was playing his first match for Ventspils since their 3-0 loss to Valmiera in the Virs Liga, played the entire 90mins of the game.

He conceded a goal inside the first 15minutes of the game as he was beaten by Moldovan midfielder Dumitru Rogac.

His team later rallied back, as goals from Lucas Villela and Evgeni Kozlov gave the Latvian side the victory.

Alampasu joined Ventspils on a three-year deal after he was released by Portuguese club Feirense.

His Nigerian compatriot, Christian Pyagbara was on the bench for the entire duration of the match.
