Nigeria midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has joined newly-promoted Serie A side Crotone, signing a three-year deal with the Italian outfit.

Onazi, the 2013 Nations Cup winner, was a free agent after he reportedly terminated his contract at Turkish outfit Denizlispor in July.

Onazi started his professional career at Serie A club Lazio in 2012 where he made 76 Serie A appearances before he left to join Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.

Another Nigerian player, Simeone Nwankwo, plays at the club and it will be a chance for the compatriots to reunite away from the national team.
