In their first NBA playoff game in the bubble on Monday, Utah Jazz fell to Denver Nuggets by 10pts after an overtime to go down 1-0 in the series, competing in the Western division.

It was a high scoring game that saw both teams trade leads, but Nuggets lasted the haul to win the contest 135-125.

Senegal’s Georges Niang came off the bench to play 19mins: 45s for the Jazz, making 7pts in the game with 3reb. Niang attempted 4 outside shots in the game and converted one of those shots.

Jazz did trail in the 2nd quarter by as much as 12pts. However, they leveled it in the 3rd, the only quarter they won (31-19) and Niang was instrumental in their good display in this quarter, making a 3pt shot to tie the game at 68-68, and then made a floating shot to take Jazz 75-72 up.

However, Nuggets came back strong in the 4th quarter, outscoring Jazz by 5pts. With the game going into overtime, Nuggets pulled away, scoring 10pts more than Jazz which earned them the win.

DR Congo’s Emmanuel Mudiay saw some action for Jazz, playing 9mins: 46s, and he made 1pt from a free throw. Olumiye ‘Miye’ Oni Did Not Play (DNP – coach’s decision).
