Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting’s late goal helped French Club Paris Saint-Germain seal their place in the semi-final of the Champions League for the first time since 1995, breaking the hearts of Atalanta in the process.

The Cameroon attacker came into the action in the 79th minute when he replaced Mauro Icardi, and he proved to be the difference against a very resolute and stubborn Atalanta defence.

Overall, Choupo-Moting had a good day at the office as he had a 100% pass accuracy while also completing one dribble in the match.

Atalanta had battled bravely throughout and Mario Pasalic’s first-half goal had looked set to be enough to send them into the last-four for the first time in the club’s history, but PSG had a sting in their tail. Neymar had earlier laid on Marquinhos’ equalizer on a plate in the 90th minute.

Also, Senegal’s midfield stalwart, Idrissa Gueye featured for 72 minutes in the match, as he was replaced by Argentine Leandro Paredes.
