Nigeria’s Divine Oduduru was in action at the Star Athletics Sprint Showcase in Montverde on Monday, August 10th, where he raced in his second 200m outdoors, clocking a time of 20.62s to place 3rd in his heat which was won by Canada’s Aaron Brown in 20.24s (+1.2) as Alonso Edward followed in 20.45s.

The first heat was dominated by Kenny Bednarek who stormed to a big Personal Best (PB) and World Lead (WL) of 19.80s (+1.0) to finish ahead of Doha 2019 double medallist Andre De Grasse (20.31s) and Kyree King in 20.54s. Completing the 200m line up are Matthew Hudson-Smith (20.64s) and Michael Cherry (20.72s).

A fortnight ago, Oduduru raced to a Season’s Best (SB) of 20.22s at the Back To Track Series in Clermont to finish behind World Champion Noah Lyles who stormed to a then WL of 19.94s.
