Amusan finished 2019 with the 5th best time in the world in the women's 100m Hurdles.

Tobi Amusan in her second race of the season at the PVAMU Back To Track Series III in Prairie View, Texas, raced to a Season’s Best (SB) of 11.69s (+1.7m/s) to win the 3rd heat of the women’s 100m, well clear of Kristina Griffin who placed 2nd from that heat in 11.95s.

Amusan had opened up her season a week ago, running 11.80s to win her heat at the same competition, then in it’s second series.
She finished 5th overall as Tynia Gaither took the overall win in 11.25s (+2.3) ahead of Tianna Bartoletta and Candyce McGrone who clocked times of 11.46s and 11.52s respectively.

Cravon Gillespie was the fastest man in the men’s 100m where he opened up to a swift 10.09s (+1.7) ahead of Mike Bryan and Carlin Isles who both from another heat, ran 10.25s (+2.8) and 10.34s for 2nd and 3rd overall respectively.

Michael Cherry won the men’s 400m in a Season’s Best (SB) of 45.43s, his first appearance over his speciality this season ahead of Deon Leondore in 45.80s and Kahmari Montgomery in an SB of 45.85s.
The women’s equivalent was easily taken by Courtney Okolo in 52.13s to Shamier Little’s 52.98s.
