Victor Oladipo made 13pts, 5reb and 2ast for Indiana Pacers in their game against Orlando Magic on Tuesday, helping his team to a comfortable 120-109 victory that saw them remain in 5th in the Eastern Conference.

The American who is eligible to play for Nigeria, was on the court for 27mins: 13s, and although T.J Warren led with a game-high 32pts, Oladipo who played 10mins less than him, attempted (4) 3pt shots close to Warren (5).

For Magic, they are still missing their Nigerian Small Forward, Al-Farouq Aminu who has been sidelined since this year with a meniscus injury.

Wesley Iwundu who is of Nigerian descent, saw some court time for the Magic yesterday, playing for 17mins: 53s and making 4pts and 2reb.

Although born in the United States, Iwundu is still eligible to play for D’Tigers, and if he decides to play for Nigeria could make some difference in Mike Brown’s side at next year’s Olympics.

Athletics coverage was a discovery, having to move away from regularly writing about Football. Although it was initially daunting, but now being an authority in it makes the past effort worthwhile. From travelling on the same international flight with Nigerian athletes, to knowing you could easily interview: World Record holder Tobi Amusan, then Ese Brume, I have cut my teeth in this beat earning the trust of Athletics sources.
