Miami Heat’s Center, Bam Adebayo tied for his team’s game high 21pts to see off Boston Celtics by six points, winning their match up 112-106.

It was Adebayo’s double-double that made a whole lot of difference for the Heat, who were contending with a resilient Celtics team who won their last game against Portland Trail Blazers.

Miami had lost to the defending champions, Toronto Raptors on Monday, so getting back to winning ways was paramount to the Heat who are just a place behind Celtics in the Eastern division.

Apart from his 21pts at the opposing rim, Adebayo made 12reb with 9 of those being Defensive Rebounds to round up what was an overall impressive display, from the player whom Nigeria will hope to convince to play for them.

Meanwhile for Celtics, Nigerian-born Semi Ojeleye was on the court for 19mins: 25s, making 3pts for his team having attempted 5 outside shots, with a good defensive display of 5dreb.

Athletics coverage was a discovery, having to move away from regularly writing about Football. Although it was initially daunting, but now being an authority in it makes the past effort worthwhile. From travelling on the same international flight with Nigerian athletes, to knowing you could easily interview: World Record holder Tobi Amusan, then Ese Brume, I have cut my teeth in this beat earning the trust of Athletics sources.
