Gambian latest football sensations, Musa Barrow and Musa Juwara were on parade for Italian Club Bologna on Sunday as they played out a 1-1 draw in their last match of the Serie A season against Ola Aina’s Torino.

Juwara, the 18-year-old Gambian striker who only arrived in Italy on a boat as an unaccompanied minor four years ago and netted his first Serie A goal about a month ago, played for 77mins of the encounter. While on the pitch, he had two shots on target, made 26 passes with a passing accuracy of 76%.

His compatriot, Barrow made his 23rd appearance for Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side this season, playing the entire duration of the match. Although he couldn’t add to his eight goals for the La Rossa this season, he racked up five shots, with three being on target.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles defender Ola Aina came into the match as a substitute in the 50th min, making his 34th appearance of the season.

Swedish midfielder Mattias Svanberg put Bologna in front in the 18th min while Simone Zaza got the equalizer for Torino in the 66th min.

There are very few things in life that make me happy, but talking and writing Sports has to be at the top. I honed my broadcasting skills at the University of Lagos Radio Station and have free-lanced for platforms like Top Radio and Superscreen TV amongst others. Deji loves running commentaries on Football matches and Athletics, and is now a Junior Sports Writer at Making of Champions. He hopes to become a Sports Agent in the future.
