Nigeria’s Ese Brume only needed one attempt in Group A Qualification round of the women’s Long Jump to make it into Sunday’s final at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha

The 2019 African Games champion sprung to the top of the standings with a big leap of 6.89m leap, a jump well past the automatic qualification mark of 6.75m.

Brume, who is also the reigning African Long Jump Champion will be looking to step up from her continental titles when she competes on the last day of the 10-day Championships in Doha.

She is one of the three women to have surpassed 7.00m in the world this year, jumping a new Personal Best (PB) of 7.05m at the Turkish Championships in July
