Nigeria’s fastest man over the 200m, Divine Oduduru is set to compete at the Paris Diamond League against the best from different countries across the globe.

The talented sprinter who set the Nigerian Record over the distance with times of 19.76s and 19.73s earlier this year, also setting multiple records in the NCAA in the process, would take on an elite field that includes the fastest man in 2019, USA’s Noah Lyles who has so far done a Personal Best (PB) of 19.50s.

Ecuadorian athlete, Alex Quinonez has a National Record (NR) of 19.87s to his name this season and should be in the mix, alongside Aaron Brown of Canada with a PB of 19.95s.

The World Champion, Ramil Guliyev is in the field and has also dipped under 20s this season, with another African, Clarence Munyai also expected to compete. Frenchmen, Christophe Lemaitre and Meba-Mickael Zeze complete the line-up.

The race is to be Oduduru’s first 200m competition since he completed the NCAA double in June, his first 200m on the Diamond League circuit and his second race altogether in the Diamond League.
