With the 2019 IAAF Diamond League (DL) getting to the halfway mark of the season in Eugene, the race to finish as the top player in the Fantasy Race Contest of the MoC 2019 League became intense, but Dennis Ogbonna’s team still remains top despite Nnaji Micah’s team claiming victory in the American city.

It has been a statement of intent from Dennis Ogbonna who went into the Eugene DL with its place under threat as others breathed down, looking for an opportunity to capitalize.

After lots of upset took place at the last DL meeting in Rabat, a lot of the top players got back to reckoning as the top athletes claimed victory in their respective discipline, with the exception of Omar Mcleod and Genzebe Dibaba.

Nnaji Micah, who can boast of a second place finish in Shanghai already in the MoC League, picked seven winners in his team with McLeod and Dina Asha-Smith placing third in their races to give him 14 points.

In the end, he accumulated 209 points to get his first win this season and a taste of our top prize.

The position for second and third was tied between last meeting second placer, Don Modise and Blaise Nwodike, as both of them notched 207 points.

Like we’ve done before, the countback rule was used to decide the second place. With Don Modise placing 2nd last week, the player gets the nod ahead of Blaise Nwodike who was 40th.
