The Rome Fantasy Race contest was keenly contested among players

In what was balmy and brilliant evening of athletics at the Rome Diamond League, the meet provided a lot of twist and turns on the track which made the fantasy race contest in the MoC 2019 League a keenly contested affair.

For the first time this season, we had four players having a say for the top prize, as they all garnered 127 points at the end of the day.

But like we did last time in Stockholm when we used the countback rule in deciding who claimed the third position, the same rule was put into effect when picking the winner here in Rome.

The countback rule basically entails that if players are tied on the same amount of points in a contest, the player who has the highest ranking from the previous meet claims top prize for the meet in which they are tied.

As such, Team Divine Oduduru which is owned by Olumide Awofadeji gets the nod for the win, with it being his first in the contest this season. He did so after finishing joint third last time out in Stockholm.

Also, Gushi Royal team gets into our Top 3 for the first time this season after he placed 30th in the last meet, while Okelu Onyeka’s team placed gets back into the top 3 after missing out in Stockholm with his 42nd placing in the Swedish capital.

The Fantasy Race Contest in Rome was keenly contested with four players finishing with 127 points.
