Very rarely does a Diamond League (DL) meet hold and Meeting Records (MR) are not broken, but that’s what the Stockholm’s DL managed to do as the lack of MR’s had a knock-on effect on the Fantasy Race Contest.

One of the reasons this is so, was because of the cold and chilly conditions which beset the Swedish capital on the day, as most of the top athletes competing rarely had a chance to go full throttle.

Nevertheless, it was Team Blitz which is owned by Making of Champions’ (MoC) athlete Jerry Jakpa who came out top of the pile in the “MoC 2019 League”.

Team Blitz raked in 128 points on the day after picking DL debutant in the 400m, Micheal Norman on the day. Also, he went with five other winners on the day, as only Sandra Perkovic gave him less than 10 points on the day.

Peter Ibironke’s Team, who was a mainstay in the top 3 all through last season came through in second place with 123 points.

The position for third was keenly contested with eleven players scoring 119 points.

However, we decided to give the spot to Nnaji Micah’s Team after the player finished ahead of the rest of the 10 players (count back) at the Shanghai meet last week.
