With lots of Meeting Records (MR) being set by athletes at the opening leg of the Diamond League which took place in Doha, Qatar, it definitely played into the hands of plenty Fantasy Diamond League players as most of them doubled the points on athletes that set the records.

After the first leg, Janino Livramento (Royal Nuts) is our current league leader with 235 points, while Esther Micheal (Esther Michael’s Team) accumulated 183 points as runner up, with Christian Okafor (Christian Okafor’s Team) garnering 171 points to emerge in 3rd place.

It must be worth noting that Janino Livramento is also the overall World Leader after he picked five athletes who set MRs (Abderrahman Samba, Noah Lyles, Sandra Perkovic, Sandi Morris and Steven Gardiner), while making Samba his captain. He also picked three winners as well as one athlete who finished in 2nd place.

Esther Micheal came a distant 2nd. She nevertheless gulped a whopping 60 points from just picking MR holder in the Discus throw, Sandra Perkovic as her captain. She then went on to pick five other winners.

Christian Okafor settled for 3rd place as he didn’t pick any of the athletes that set MRs as his captain despite having six athletes that finished in 1st place.

AIRTIME WINNERS for #DiamondRaceContest DAY 1

There will be N3,000 worth of airtime available to the public each Diamond League day, although owing to our Terms and Conditions which states that “Airtime can only be redeemed to Nigeria-based phone numbers”, Idemudia Osas’s Team who placed 4th in our league would be upgraded to 3rd place.

So who were the Top finishers on Day 1 in the MoC League who are not MoC staff, and how will the Airtime be shared?

1st – Esther Micheal (Esther Michael’s Team) – 183 points

2nd – Christian Okafor (Christian Okafor’s Team) – 171 points

3rd – Idemudia Osas (Idemudia Osas’s Team) – 151 points

The prizes for the Top 3 are: N1500, N1000 & N500 worth of airtime respectively, to a phone number of choice within Nigeria.
