“Some of our media friends present will recall that Wakanow was appointed ATR for the London 2012 Games, an assignment they delivered effectively. Therefore NOC’s decision to appoint Wakanow Limited as the official ATR for the Rio Olympic Games is based on their track record and competence in the travels and hospitality industry.”

In his response, Managing Director of Wakanow Limited, Obinna Ekezie expressed his delight at the partnership with the NOC, while affirming his company’s resolve to make the travelling processes involved in preparing for the Games as hitch free as possible.

He said, “We are very happy to be here today to formalize this partnership with the NOC; we are very excited about this opportunity. As a company, we see this as a major responsibility to be the exclusive Authorized Ticket Resellers for the Olympic Games in Brazil.”

The former basketball player however appealed to Nigerians to commence travel preparations early so as not to miss out on the Games completely. He also stressed the importance of abiding by the ATR rules attached to different packages, and the terms and conditions that apply to each package.

One of such packages is the ‘Pay Small-Small’ payment plan which involves paying in installments to ease the financial burden of traveling for the Games.
