The animosity between the USA and Jamaican men’s 4x100m team was stoked to new heights by Ryan Bailey’s hand gesture after the final race in the Bahamas, which signaled an end to Jamaican domination in the sprints.
This video was captured at the press conference that followed the race, and has single-handedly received 47,000 views! Of course the Jamaicans didn’t find his gesture funny, and you can tell from their body language that they can barely stand being around their American counterparts, with Usain Bolt taking a walk before the end of the photo session.
The Jamaicans had the last laugh though, having turned the tide at the World Championships in Beijing, delivering when it really mattered as Bolt anchored the team to GOLD, while the US team anchored by Michael Rodgers was eventually disqualified.
